Junichiro Yoshimatsu was born in 1953 in Yamaguchi Prefecture. He graduated from Tama Art University with a master's degree. His father is a Noh actor. He uses silkscreen and woodblock printing on Japanese paper, and many of his works are based on the theme of Nohgaku.
