We are pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition A Journey to Encounter Toko Shinoda at Hotel Indigo Inuyama Urakuen.

Toko Shinoda, who achieved global acclaim, discovered groundbreaking forms of abstract expression through the traditional medium of sumi ink. Her works resonate across time and cultures, speaking deeply to the sensitivities of those who behold them.

This exhibition features approximately 20 works, including original paintings and lithographs, exhibiting the breadth of Shinoda’s expressive world. Within the refined and tranquil setting of Hotel Indigo—nestled in the historic city of Inuyama—her art finds a harmonious counterpart.

To commemorate the exhibition, the hotel is offering a special stay plan along with original lunch and dinner courses inspired by Shinoda’s artistic universe. Curated by Executive Chef Nagamiya, each dish creatively draws upon elements from Shinoda’s works, offering a culinary journey where fine dining and art converge.

In addition, our gallery staff will be hosting special talks throughout the exhibition period, sharing stories and insights into Shinoda’s life and art, offering visitors a deeper appreciation of her unique vision.
