Takeda Hideo, an artist represented by The Tolman Collection, is featured in the exhibition “Takeda Hideo’s Genpei: Defying Authority” at the Princeton University Art Museum.

The exhibition focuses on Takeda’s celebrated Genpei series, a group of twenty-two silkscreen prints created in 1985. Through bold graphic expression and sharp humor, Takeda reimagines episodes from The Tale of the Heike and the late twelfth-century Genpei civil war.
